What an industrial planetary mixer does

Even, dead-spot-free mixing — at industrial scale, every shift.

A planetary mixer takes its name from the motion of its tool: the mixing head rotates on its own axis while orbiting the bowl, like a planet around a sun. The result is intense, fast and homogeneous mixing with no dead spots — material is constantly moved from the bowl wall to the centre and back, instead of piling up the way a traditional mixer leaves it.

In an industrial setting, that motion has to be repeatable through long shifts without losing performance. Our IBT industrial mixers ship with high-torque asynchronous motors, oil-less belt-driven planetary gearboxes (sealed, low-maintenance) and water-protected control electronics (IP54 control / IP32 machine) — the construction philosophy that lets bakeries and food manufacturers run them across long continuous shifts.

How to choose

Three factors carry most of the decision: capacity (bowl litres, max flour per batch); motor power and speed range (3-step vs electronic variator; rpm range); and accessories (touchscreen, recipe control, leakproof cover, discharge valve, scraper, full-CR body). The IBT 100 / 140 series cover most industrial bakeries; the IBT 200 / 300 series cover food manufacturing and institutional output; the IBT 300-DC CR adds process control (jacketed bowl, CIP, sealed atmosphere) for the most demanding lines.
